The invention relates to an active anti-rolling device for motor vehicles, a motor vehicle and a method for modifying the behaviour of a motor vehicle suspension in response to rolling. The device comprises a stabiliser bar (5) including a central portion (8) hinged at two bearings (13) to a rear cradle (12) of a motor vehicles, said central portion (8) extending beyond each bearing (13) into a cantilevered portion (7). Each cantilevered portion (7) is bent to form a lever arm (6) which is connected at the end thereof at a supporting point (9) to a connecting bar (14) that is connected at the opposite end to an intermediate element that transmits the forces exerted on the wheels, e.g. a shock absorber (15) of the suspension of the motor vehicle. In addition, the device comprises means for modifying the torque from the central portion (8) of the stabiliser bar (5) in relation to time.
