PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for depolymerizing a polyester which can easily and rapidly perform depolymerization at low cost using a convenient ordinary heating device.SOLUTION: A method for depolymerizing a polyester is characterized in that polyester-containing moldings or scraps are heated to reflux by ordinary heating in the presence of an alkylene glycol in which one or more kinds of metal oxide powders selected from lead dioxide, trilead tetroxide, manganese dioxide and lanthanum oxide are dispersed. |
