PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve processing efficiency for generating musical sound in a musical sound generating device.SOLUTION: An electronic musical instrument 1 stores waveform sample data in a memory 12 and time-dividedly processes sound generation of a plurality of channels corresponding to a polyphonic number by a musical sound generating device 20. The electronic musical instrument 1 generates entry data indicating a reading address of the memory 12 in a time slot of each channel performing sound generation and stores the entry data in an entry RAM. Then, the electronic musical instrument 1 reads out the waveform sample data for the predetermined number of channels from the memory 12 in accordance with an idle state of a bus 14 and stores the read sample data in a sample data buffer RAM to be a local memory. Then the electronic musical instrument 1 successively generates a digital signal of a waveform expressing musical sound in each channel and outputs the generated digital signal to a mixer 21. |
