PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle traveling support apparatus having an improved imaging environment of an imaging device at a stop of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A vehicle traveling support apparatus detects the presence or absence of a shadow on a font track of an own vehicle 10 under the control of a control unit 12 on the basis of images obtained by cameras 11a and 11b which are installed on an own vehicle 10 and take images around the own vehicle 10, and sets a stop target position on the basis of a position of the own vehicle and the shadow when the shadow is detected.
