PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method allowing mounting work of a weldless joint to be performed by using a simple member at low cost, and a device for the method.SOLUTION: A weldless joint for a pile includes a plurality of arcuate plates 15 made to straddle over both end metal fittings 12 of joint ends of piles to be connected to each other, wound around the outer peripheries thereof and fitted for arrangement; a flange-like projection 13 is integrally provided on the outer periphery of each end metal fitting, a recessed groove 17 to which the projections of both the end metal fittings are fitted is provided in the inner peripheral surface of the arcuate plate, both the projections 13 are fitted into the recessed groove 17, and the inter-plate connection metal fitting 21 is fitted to the outer periphery of both the end metal fittings 12; and when connecting the arcuate plates via an inter-plate connection metal fitting 21, an arcuate plate holding device using a permanent magnet 32 is used, each arcuate plate 15 is mounted at a predetermined place by attracting it to the end metal fitting 12 by magnetic force, the inter-plate connection metal fitting 21 is mounted after all of the arcuate plates 15 are mounted, and the arcuate plate holding device is removed. |
