PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-disintegrable paper that has a wet strength durable for the use as a cleaner.SOLUTION: The water-disintegrable paper P is obtained by papermaking from a paper stock 10 which includes a paper stock comprising wood pulp 1 as a main material, and carboxymethyl cellulose 2 that is a hydroxy group substitution derivative and a fixer 3 for fixing the carboxymethyl cellulose 2 to the wood pulp 1 blended therein. The fixer 3 is a poly-dimethyldiallyl ammonium chloride and thus can thoroughly fix the carboxymethyl cellulose that is a hydroxy group substitution derivative to cellulose. Thus, a chemical reaction in which an OH group of cellulose consisting a pulp fiber is substituted by a carboxymethyl group is reliably achieved than in the case of an external additive system. Therefore, a hydrogen bond between fibers is broken, molecules are separated, and then, water solubility is developed. Thus, the water-disintegrable paper P excellent in water solubility can be obtained. |
