PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a virtual machine providing system for synchronizing a virtual machine while securing high reliability without wastefully consuming resources.SOLUTION: A main system virtual machine includes: a main system storage part for storing an image file; and a main system agent part having a monitoring part for monitoring the state of the image file and a main system control part for determining whether or not the state of the image file to be monitored by the monitoring part has changed, and for, when determining that the state of the image file has changed, transmitting difference data of the image file and difference information for identifying the difference data to a standby system virtual machine. A standby system virtual machine includes: a standby storage part for storing an image file for standby and a standby system control part for synchronizing the difference data with the image file for standby. When receiving the difference data and the difference information from the main system virtual machine, the standby system control part in a start state in the standby system virtual machine in which each section other than the standby system control part stops synchronizes the difference data with the image file for standby by using the difference information as a key. |
