PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in recycling of plated magnets, wherein a projection material remains on the surface of the magnet and the constituent materials of the projection material that are different from the magnet component become impurities by a blast process for peeling off the plating, so that when a magnet is produced by using as the material a magnet containing such impurities, the properties of the magnet thus obtained may decline.SOLUTION: A method is provided for recycling a magnet covered with a metallic plating. The method includes: separating the plated magnet into the plating and the magnet by subjecting the plated magnet to a blast process in which a projection material containing the element contained in the magnet as the main component is smashed into the plated magnet; and collecting the separated magnet and plating respectively. The collected magnet and plating are injected into a magnet reproduction process. As a consequence, it is possible to produce a magnet having a small amount of impurities during the production of the magnet by peeling off the plating while inhibiting impurities from mixing in and by collecting the magnet. |
