A power-receiving device (105) receives power from a power-transmission device (101) without contact occurring therebetween. The power-receiving device is provided with a power-receiving unit (106) positioned so as to face the transmission unit (104) of the power-transmission device with a space interposed therebetween; a DC-voltage-adjustment means (108) for configuring part of a receiving circuit for electrically connecting the receiving unit and an electrical load (109), and capable of adjusting the DC voltage supplied to the electrical load; and a control means (112) for controlling the DC-voltage-adjustment means so as to adjust the DC voltage, when power is transferred between the transmission unit and the receiving unit, in a manner such that the current phase difference, which is the difference between the current of the transmission unit and the current of the receiving unit, and which corresponds to the total resonant frequency which is the resonant frequency of the system overall configured from the power-receiving device and the power-transmission device, nears 180°. |
