Disclosed is a leak-proof down article, comprising a face cloth (1), an inner cloth (2), down (3) and a down-protecting medium (4, 4', 5'). The down (3) is packed between the face cloth (1) and the inner cloth (2). The down-protecting medium (4, 4', 5') has a high density and can have one or two layers, and can also be bonded with the inner surface of the face cloth (1) and/or the inner cloth (2). The face cloth (1) and the inner cloth (2) are provided with ultrasonic seamless quilting (11) or glue-connected hot press quilting. Further disclosed is a method for producing the leak-proof down article, which has a simple process by virtue of dispensing with the step of quilting via traditional sewing. Since ultrasonic seamless quilting (11) or glue-connected hot press quilting is utilized, no pinprick holes for quilting lines are present, and the down-protecting medium (4, 4', 5') has a high density, thereby effectively preventing the problem of down leakage due to a low density of the cloth and avoiding down leakage at seam lines. |
