<p>A liquid crystal display device (10) is provided with: a light-emitting diode LED (17); a liquid crystal panel (11); a light guide plate (16) having an end surface that is disposed in such a manner as to face the LED (17), and having end portions (16EP) that are disposed further to the outside than the ends of the liquid crystal panel (11); holding members (HM) comprising a frame (13) and a chassis (14) that hold the liquid crystal panel (11) and the light guide plate (16) in a form in which the liquid crystal panel and the light guide plate are sandwiched between a display surface (11c) and the opposite side thereof, and accommodating the LED (17) therebetween; panel pressing sections (24) provided to the frame (13); second screw attachment sections (22) provided to the frame (13); second screw members (SM2) that are attached to the second screw attachment sections (22), and secure the frame (13) and chassis (14) in an assembled state by sandwiching at least the chassis (14) between the second screw attachment sections (22); and hole-like sections (29) that are provided to the end portions (16EP) of the light guide plate (16), and through which either the second screw attachment sections (22) or the second screw members (SM2) are inserted.</p> |
