PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact spring for a connector terminal that allows smooth insertion of a male terminal into an insertion hole and suppresses power loss.SOLUTION: A male terminal 40 has a projecting pin 41 that is to be inserted into a female terminal 20. The female terminal 20 has an insertion hole 22 that allows the pin 41 to be inserted therethrough. A contact spring 30 for a connector terminal is formed so as to have conductivity, and includes a cylindrical main body 31 that is to be fitted onto one of an outer circumferential surface of the pin 41 and an inner circumferential surface of the insertion hole 22 and is to have contact with the other of the two. The cylindrical main body 31 is configured in such a manner as to make any length change of contraction and extension, with the insertion of the pin 41 into the insertion hole 22, in an insertion/removal direction D in which the pin 41 is inserted into or removed from the insertion hole 22. The cylindrical main body 31 has: diameter reducing means 31 that reduces the diameter thereof in a radially inner direction as the cylindrical main body 31 extends; or diameter enlarging means 31C that enlarges the diameter thereof in a radially outer direction as the cylindrical main body 31 contracts.
