PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine automatic stop/restart device capable of preventing the generation of ignition accelerating reverse rotation of the crank shaft of an engine.SOLUTION: An engine automatic stop/restart device has: an ignition inhibiting determining unit 102 inhibiting the ignition to an engine by an ignition control unit 104 when detecting the reverse rotation of the engine 10 based on a crank angle signal from a crank angle sensor 1; and an ignition inhibition release determining unit 103 releasing the ignition inhibition after ignition is inhibited by the ignition inhibition determining unit 102. The ignition inhibition release determining unit 103 releases the ignition inhibition when detecting normal rotation signals of the engine 10 not less than predetermined times and when an engine rotational frequency is not less than a predetermined rotational frequency before a compression upper dead center the engine 10 after detecting the reverse rotation of the engine 10. |
