PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front rail of a middle stage shelf of a closet, excellent in strength, surface hardness, load bearing, light weight, and design.SOLUTION: A front rail for a middle stage shelf, in which an engaging groove 102 is provided along the longitudinal direction in a top face intermediate part in the longitudinal direction and an engaging projection provided at the underside front end of a shelf board body is inserted into the engaging groove, is formed by a multi-layer material made by laminating bamboo material layers 104, 108 consisting of bamboo and wooden layers 106, 110 consisting of wood of a fast-growing planted tree. Moreover, at least the front end layer 104 in the thickness direction and the intermediate layer 108 are formed by bamboo material layers while the intermediate layer in the thickness direction made of the bamboo material layer is exposed to the front wall surface 112 of the engaging groove. |
