The fluid shutoff device has a drive (12), an intermediate piece (14) and a valve body (16), where a pressure piece (24) driven by the drive is provided in the intermediate piece, with which the valve body interacting with a closing element moves. The pressure piece has two locking elements for tong-like gripping of slider elements which are displaceable between one locking element releasing an open position and another locking element taking a closed position. The slide elements are radially or tangentially displaceable or rotatable. Two sections are provided, which are locked together.
