MINIATURE CAMERA MODULE WITH MEMS-ACTUATED AUTOFOCUS

A miniature MEMS autofocus camera module (100) includes a MEMS actuated movable lens group (101) and at least one fixed lens group (104) defining an optical axis (103) within a camera module housing. Objects (105) disposed an arbitrary distance from the camera module (100) are automatically focused at a determined zoom to an image sensor (106). MEMS actuation (102) of the movable lens group (101) is performed to accomplish autofocus functionality.
