<p>A single device is used in the present invention to achieve fine priority control of both the upstream and the downstream communication directions in a wireless LAN configured from wireless relay devices and wireless terminal devices even when devices that are not compatible with IEEE 802.11e are included in the LAN. A wireless access point device that accommodates a plurality of wireless terminal devices (20) is provided with: a determination processing means (SA130) that observes packets that are transmitted to each wireless terminal device (20) and packets that are received from the wireless terminal devices (20), and determines whether a device carrying out high-priority communication is present; and a priority control processing unit (SA140) that, when the determination processing unit (SA130) has determined that a device carrying out high-priority communication is present, uses a CTS message to block the initiation of communication by wireless terminal devices (20) other than the wireless terminal device (20) that is carrying out high-priority communication.</p> |
