PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a vehicle for charging kinetic energy inputted from a road surface to a secondary battery, where the control device for the vehicle can prevent the demagnetization of a motor generator and the overcharge of the secondary battery.SOLUTION: A control device for a vehicle converts kinetic energy inputted from a road surface into electric energy by a motor generator and charges the converted electric energy to a secondary battery. A first range is a range of a current value when the control device charges the converted electric energy to the secondary battery, and a second range is a range of a current value when the control device consumes the charged electric energy using the motor generator. When detecting a full charged state of the secondary battery and determining that current values of a d-axis current and/or a q-axis current are within the first range, the control device changes current values of the d-axis current and/or the q-axis current to be within the second range. |
