PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for safely producing a compound having a cyano group via an addition reaction of acetonitrile to an aromatic compound by using acetonitrile as a raw material.SOLUTION: An aromatic compound with acetonitrile added thereto such as phenylacetonitrile or the like is produced by making acetonitrile and an aromatic compound be irradiated with radiation in the presence of a catalyst while being circulated through a microreactor channel.
