PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission system in which an intensity noise caused by a phase noise is suppressed by suppressing multiple reflection, and to provide an optical transmission module, an optical reception module and an optical module which are used for the same.SOLUTION: An optical transmission system includes: an optical transmitter for oscillating light of a single wavelength, and generating an optical pulse amplitude modulation signal of ternary or more values from digital binary data using the light of the single wavelength emitted from a semiconductor laser having a phase noise; a transmission line optical fiber for transmitting the optical pulse amplitude modulation signal; an optical receiver for receiving the optical pulse amplitude modulation signal and identifying and reproducing the digital binary data; and reflection suppression means for suppressing reflection from both ends of the transmission line optical fiber so as to suppress multiple reflection. |
