PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing apparatus that allows a printing operator to obtain printed matters at a time desired by the operator who performs interrupted jobs without using the printing apparatus with the increased price and size.SOLUTION: A printing apparatus has a normal printing mode for performing printing processing at a normal printing processing speed, and a high speed printing mode that performs printing processing at a higher speed than the normal printing mode, and includes a storage unit that stores a comparison result obtained by comparing printing processing time at which a predetermined processing amount of printing data is printed in the normal printing mode, with printing processing time at which the printing data is printed in the high speed printing mode, by varying the predetermined processing amount. Printing output is performed in a recording medium by processing the printing data through a printing mode with less printing processing time of the printing data instructed based on the comparison result corresponding to the processing amount of the printing data in which the printing processing is instructed. |
