PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control formation of a recess at an intersection of a first line and a second line.SOLUTION: In a unit period T1, a first drive pulse P1 that takes a lead, and a second drive pulse P2 with faster discharge speed than the first drive pulse P1 are generated, and also a third drive pulse P3 that makes an ink droplet I2 accompanied with a satellite droplet I13 is generated in another unit period T2. In addition, when an end edge of a first line that is formed on a recording medium by liquid droplets I1 continuously discharged regarding to a relative moving direction of the recording medium forms an intersection with a second line that intersect with the first line and is formed on the recording medium by the ink droplets l1 discharged from a plurality of nozzle openings in relation to a nozzle row direction, the position of the intersection is detected. The ink droplets l1 to be landed on points other than the intersection are controlled to be discharged by the first drive pulse P1 and the second drive pulse P2, and the ink droplet l2 to be landed in the intersection is controlled to be discharged by the third drive pulse P3. |
