The present invention is an unsaturated polyester resin composition for a lamp reflector, which comprises an unsaturated polyester, a cross-linking agent, an inorganic filler, a hollow filler and a fiber-reinforcing material, said resin composition being characterized in that the surface of the hollow filler is treated and the content of the hollow filler in the unsaturated polyester resin composition for a lamp reflector is 15 to 22 mass%. The unsaturated polyester resin composition for a lamp reflector enables the production of a molded article having both a lowered specific gravity and improved self-tapping strength while maintaining conventionally required properties (i.e., surface smoothness, mechanical strength, dimensional accuracy and moldability).
