The present invention provides a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition and a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet comprising a layer formed from the said composition. The pressure-sensitive adhesive composition comprises, as a base polymer, a block copolymer of a mono-vinyl-substituted aromatic compound and a conjugated diene compound. The pressure-sensitive adhesive composition further comprises a tackifier resin (TH) having a hydroxyl value of 80 mgKOH/g or higher.
