The heat exchanger (101) has a housing (103) for receiving a gaseous refrigerant from an evaporator, and a cylindrical drying chamber (105) arranged in the housing for receiving refrigerant from a condenser. The housing comprises a capillary tube (107). An outlet (109) is connected to the drying chamber with the capillary tube. The capillary tube rotates helically around the drying chamber. Internal diameter of the housing is greater than outer diameter of the drying chamber. A flow channel (111) for the gaseous refrigerant is formed between the drying chamber and the housing.
