<p>This thin display device is provided with a display unit (7) and an outer case (8). The outer case (8) houses the display unit (7), and when held in a packaging box (21), the upper and lower corner regions (8a, 8d) are held by a cushioning material (22, 23). The metal frame (5) of the display unit (7) has reinforcing first and second bead sections (5a, 5b) that bulge to the back surface side. The first bead sections (5a) are provided to each region corresponding to the corner region at both ends of the top of the outer case (8).
