PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer Li-ion battery separator which improves safety performance and cycle performance of a polymer Li-ion battery and increases hardness of a cell core thereby reducing distortion of the Li-ion battery.SOLUTION: The polymer Li-ion battery separator comprises a porous substrate. At least one surface of the porous substrate is coated with an inorganic coating and an organic coating. The organic coating, which is distributed like an island and/or linearly, is applied to the surface of the porous substrate and/or the inorganic matter coating.
