PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evacuation device provided on a rail vehicle operated along an elevated railway, configured to increase safety of an evacuating evacuee and a guide who guides the evacuee by using the evacuation device installed with a side sliding door of the rail vehicle open.SOLUTION: A screen 280 folded in an upper portion of a body frame 210 is opened. Upper fixed portions 284 of the screen 280 are locked to a lock section 286 provided at an upper portion of an entrance. A lower fixed portion 282 of the screen 280 is connected to an upper end portion of the body frame 210, so that the screen 280 covers a space from an upper portion of the evacuation device 200 to the upper portion of the entrance. The material of the screen 280 may be a sheet partially having a window or a transparent material or a net, so that the evacuation guide can visually check the condition of the evacuee.
