Provided is a vehicle-mounted communication device capable of a reduction in an audio classification determination mis-classifying a voice sound as a non-voice sound, even in a noisy environment such as when mounted in a vehicle. The vehicle-mounted communication device (100) is provided with: a noise elimination filter (102) or a noise suppressor (103) for eliminating driving noise superimposed on an audio signal acquired by a microphone (101); a band energy ratio corrector (104) that corrects the band energy ratio that has been decreased thereby; and a variable bit rate encoder (105) for compressing the communication audio corrected by the band energy ratio corrector (104) for transmission to a communication partner via a communication line. As a result, since there is a reduction in the audio classifier (106) of the variable bit rate encoder (105) mis-classifying a voice sound as a non-voice sound, resulting in a voice sound being compressed in a mistaken non-voice-sound low-bitrate encoding, it is possible to provide communication audio in a vehicle-mounted environment to a communication partner at a high quality even in communication at a low average bit rate. |
