PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the monitoring of and operation of a cable, by accurately and circumferentially moving the inspection and checking of the outer surface of a core shroud, and to perform the inspection and check, in a short time. SOLUTION: This device for inspecting and repairing the inside of a nuclear reactor comprises a moving means that mounts a camera for visually observing the inside of the nuclear reactor filled with water and a working apparatus for performing inspection, repair, or maintenance work and moves an underwater moving vehicle moving with a propulsion machine and wheels into the nuclear reactor, ;a delivering and pulling back means for delivering and pulling back the cable of the underwater moving vehicle moving into the nuclear reactor; a monitoring means for monitoring the state of the underwater moving vehicle; and a control operation section for controlling the moving means and the delivering and pulling back means.
