The invention relates to a hybrid drive (10) for motor vehicles having a compressed-air compressor (36), comprising an internal combustion engine (12), an electric motor (14) and a load distribution transmission (16) for transmitting the driving force generated by the drives of the internal combustion engine and the electric motor to a main drive (18) to which the driven wheels (22, 24) of the motor vehicle are coupled. According to the invention, the compressed-air compressor (36) can be driven via the main output drive (18). The invention also relates to a method for controlling a compressed-air compressor (36) and to a motor vehicle equipped with the inventive hybrid drive (10).
