PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state electrolytic capacitor which has excellent ESR and ESL. SOLUTION: The solid-state electrolytic capacitor includes a flat plate type capacitor element which has an anode formed at one side of flat plate type valve-acting metal, and a cathode, having a dielectric film, a solid-state electrolytic layer and a cathode lead-out layer on an other side surface of the valve-acting metal, and has at least one capacitor element unit including a pair of flat plate type capacitor elements such that the two flat plate capacitor elements (C1, C2) are disposed having cathode portions (N1, N2) opposed to each other on the same plane and anode portions (P1, P2) on both sides thereof, wherein parts of the cathodes of the pair of capacitor elements project to the other sides beyond a center line X present at an equal distance from ends of the anodes on both the sides and bisecting the capacitor element unit, and side surfaces of both the cathodes are close to each other over the entire surface where both the cathodes are opposed to each other.
