<p>A driving circuit 1800 for an LED light source 1808 includes a converter 1820, a transformer 1822, a first current sensor 1838 and a second current sensor 1842. The converter is coupled to a switch 1834 that operates in a first state or in a second state. The converter receives an input voltage VIN and provides a regulated voltage VREG. The transformer transforms the regulated voltage to an output voltage VOUT to power said LED light source. Both a first current IC through the converter and a second current IPR through the transformer further flow through the switch when the switch operates in the first state. The first current sensor coupled between the switch and a first reference node GND1 provides a first sense signal 1856 indicating a combined current ICOMBINE of the first current and the second current. The second current sensor coupled between the first reference node and a second reference node GND3 provides a second sense signal 1852 indicating only the second current.</p> |
