The lift (10) has a cross-element (40) fixed at one or multiple lift cage guide rails (16, 18). One or multiple wall mounting elements (46, 48) fasten the cross-element at a wall (52) of a hoistway (50). Each of the wall mounting elements is formed in form-fit manner in a vertical direction and perpendicular to a wall horizontal direction (Y). Each of the wall mounting elements allows relative movement between the cross-element and the wall in the vertical direction. A lift cage (12) is guided on the guide rails in the vertical direction.
