PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform cutting by means of a cutting blade with various quality by varying the shearing angle of the cutting blade to a bundle of paper sheets in cutting the bundle of paper sheets. SOLUTION: A drive mechanism is composed to move the cutting blade from an upper retraction position to a lower cutting position to the bundle of paper sheets on a paper rest as follows. On a proper device frame, a pair of rotation shafts are disposed at an interval in the cutting line direction to the bundle of paper sheets. The rotation shafts are connected to a drive motor, so that the rotation shafts rotate synchronously. The cutting blade is shaft-supported by a pair of drive rotation members. The rotation shafts and the drive rotation members are axially connected by forming a differential phase, so that their rotation angles are different from each other by a predetermined angle. At least one of the drive rotation members and the cutting blade are connected to each other with clearance in the perpendicular direction to the vertical cutting direction.
