[Class 83 (iii)] A lathe tool comprises a holder 5 for a steadyroller 18 and a tool 14, and a head 3 carrying a plurality of guide-pins 4 on which the holder floats against spring means 9 reacting between the head and the holder. The degree of float is adjusted by a screw 11. Additional guide flanges 8 are formed on the head. The roller 18 is adjustable axially and transversely. The tool is clamped in a split-dovetail holder 15. |
