<p>A method of forming a light-emitting device, the method comprising the steps of: forming a quantum dot light-emitting layer 105 comprising light-emitting quantum dots over an electrode 103 for injecting charge carriers of a first type; forming an adjacent layer 107 on the quantum dot light-emitting layer by depositing onto the quantum dot light-emitting layer a formulation comprising one or more solvents and one or more materials selected from charge-transporting and light emitting materials, and evaporating the one or more solvents; and forming an electrode 109 for injecting charge carriers of a second type over the adjacent layer. The first electrode 103 may comprise an anode and the second electrode 109 may comprise a cathode. A hole injection layer and/or a hole transport layer may be provided between the anode 103 and the quantum dot light emitting layer 105. The light emitting device may comprise an organic light-emitting material, wherein the material may be a phosphorescent organic light emitting material.</p> |
