[Class 3(ii)] An indicator for fixing to the surface of a road comprises a plate a having a plurality of bosses or projections b spaced longitudinally and transversely so that they are not closely adjacent or in contact, each boss having at least one vertical or substantially vertical plane or substantially plane face b<SP>1</SP>. The projections b are either cast or stamped, the face b<SP>1</SP> acting as a reflector. The face b<SP>1</SP> may be inclined to the longitudinal axis of the plate and may incline slightly either forwardly or backwardly from the vertical and be flat; concave or convex. The projections may be of any shape, e.g. triangular, rectangular or spade-shaped and may have two substantially vertical faces s directed oppositely.</p> |
