<p>A lubricant filtration device 18 for a gear 10, preferably of a vehicle differential, the lubricant filtration device 18 comprising: at least one housing 12 of the gear 10; at least one catching element 20 attached inside the housing 12, the catching element 20 being capable of catching lubricant swirled up by the rotating gear (16, fig 8); at least one filter 30 for filtering the lubricant, the filter 30 being separate from the catching element 20 and arranged, preferably at least 130mm, vertically below the catching element 20 and preferably outside the housing; and at least one duct 42 for guiding the lubricant caught by the catching element 20 to the filter 30, the flow of the lubricant from the catching element 20 via the duct 42 to the filter 30 being effected by gravity. A second duct 46 may return the filtered lubricant to the housing 12.</p> |
