PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique enabling a quick calculation of a hash value even if a memory capacity of RAM is relatively small. SOLUTION: A multifunction machine sequentially generates plural pieces of partial image data 112c, 114c and 116c that constitute image data representing one sheet of scanning object in a RAM 26. The multifunction machine further sequentially generates respective height information of the individual partial image data 112c, 114c and 116c in the RAM 26. That is, the multifunction machine sequentially generates respective partial JPEG data 112, 114 and 116 in the RAM 26. The multifunction machine sequentially calculates final hash values by sequentially using the respective partial JPEG data 112, 114 and 116.
