<p>Preparing an organopolysiloxane comprises (a) reacting tetrachlorosilane with a mixture of 1-7 mole of a monohydric alcohol and 0-2 mole(s) of water; (b) mixing the obtained reaction mixture (partial alkoxylate) with a water-insoluble organic solvent with a density of less than 0.95 kg/l, and a monofunctional silane compound (I), where the mixture under stirring, 0.2-100 mole(s) of water is added and the amount of monofunctional silane is 0.43-2 mole; and (c) optionally adding a monofunctional silane compound (II) or a disiloxane compound (III) after terminating the hydrolysis water addition.
