PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article carrying box clamping tool for a transfer device, which clamps article carrying boxes in a small space while using a moving means for lifting the plurality of article carrying boxes at the same time. SOLUTION: The article carrying box clamping tool 30 for the transfer device includes an L-shaped support member 32 arranged outside walls 14 of the plurality of article carrying boxes 10 stacked, a plurality of supporting pawl members 38 for supporting the article carrying boxes 10 at the lower faces of their outward flanges 18, a suspended holding member 46 connected to the moving means H in a suspended state, a frame member 52 for connecting the support member 32 to the suspended holding member 46, and a drop preventing clamp 54 for clamping the corners of openings 16 of the article carrying boxes 10 on their inner face sides. The supporting pawl members 38 is applied to the outward flanges 18 of the article carrying boxes 10d located on the lowermost stage, and the drop preventing clamp 54 is applied to the article carrying boxes 10a located on the uppermost stage.
