PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the risk of causing distortion in a metal ring, and to avoid the occurrence of irregularity in the degree of heat treatment of the metal ring. SOLUTION: The carrier rack 10 has a base panel 12 and 10 holding shafts 14a-14j erected on the base panel 12. A plurality of projection parts 30 are provided on side walls of the holding shafts 14a-14j. The metal rings R1, R2 are interposed between the projection parts 30 adjacent to each other and held as a first row L1 and a second low L2. One ridge (an apex) opposing the metal rings R1, R2 at each projection part 30 of a triangular prismatic shape is opposed in the direction separating from centers O1, O2 of the metal rings R1, R2. At least lower end faces of the metal rings R1, R2 are brought into contact with inclined surfaces 32 of the projection parts 30. The contact is a point-contact. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
