PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove foreign matters attached on an orifice in a lever float type drain trap for automatically discharging drain produced in a steam piping system, a compressed air piping system and a gas piping system through the utilization of a float. SOLUTION: A valve seat 9 with first and second valve ports 7 and 8 opened is formed in the lower part of the valve chest 6. While a float 12 floating up and down according to a liquid level in the valve chest 6 is connected to the lever 11, a valve element 15 seating on and separating from the valve seat 9 is connected to the lever 11. The orifice 22 formed in an opening area which cannot discharge all drain produced during air feeding in a piping system is formed in the lower part of the valve chest 6. A foreign matter removing member 24 for removing foreign matters attached to the orifice 22 by advancing thereto when the valve element 15 is separated from the valve seat 9 via the lever 11 by surfacing the float 12 is connected to the lever 11. An operation member 25 is provided so that a screw can be moved forward and backward in a lever 11 direction from the outside of a lid body 4, and is always spaced from the lever 11. When screwing the operation member 25, the operation member 25 abuts on the lever 11 to separate the valve element 15 from the valve seat 9, thereby forcing the foreign matter removing member 24 to advance in the orifice 22.
