<p>Disclosed is a structure for a side portion of a vehicle body, the structure being configured in such a manner that the ends of an arch member (18) are mounted to rail members (15) extending in the front-rear direction of the vehicle body and that a roof panel (20) is supported by the arch member. The structure (10) for a side portion of a vehicle body is provided with: the rail members (15); the arch member (18) which extends in the width direction of the vehicle and the ends of which are mounted to the rail members (15); and the roof panel (20) supported by the arch member. In each of the rail members (15), an outer extension section (33) is integrally provided to a rail outer section (32) and an inner extension section (37) is integrally provided to a rail inner section (36). The arch member (18) is provided with an arch upper member (62) which can be installed on the outer extension section (33) and an arch lower member (72) which can be installed on the inner extension section (37).</p> |
