METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR RECOVERING SILICON FROM SLAG

The present invention provides a method for recovering silicon from slag. The method comprises the steps of: preparing a reaction container comprising a material capable of enduring a high temperature environment of a temperature range at which slag melts and showing acid stability; injecting slag and a deoxidizing agent into the reaction container to mix the same; heating the reaction container to melt the slag so as to oxidize the deoxidizing agent and to reduce silicon from the slag; cooling the reaction container; injecting an acid solution into the reaction container to dissolve slag, oxidized deoxidizing agent and non-oxidized deoxidizing agent except silicon by acid treatment; and recovering the silicon by filtering.
