<p>A power conversion device includes a capacitor 5 connected in parallel to a direct-current power supply 6, a plurality of power converters 2 that drive a plurality of synchronous machines 1, a capacitor 3 that is connected in parallel to a direct-current side of the power converters 2, a switching circuit 4 that is directly inserted between the capacitors 5 and 3, a switch-start instruction unit 12 that controls starting of an operation of the power converters 2, and a control unit 9 that controls the power converters 2 based on a motor velocity É and a voltage Vc of the capacitor 3. The switch-start instruction unit 12 turns off the switching circuit 4 while the power converters 2 stop, turns off the switching circuit 4 until a terminal voltage of each of the synchronous machines 1 becomes equal to a predetermined value when each of the power converters 2 starts operating, and turns on the switching circuit 4 when the terminal voltage of each of the synchronous machines 1 becomes equal to or smaller than the predetermined value.</p> |
