<p>PURPOSE: A system for preventing taxi-fare manipulation and a method for preventing taxi-fare manipulation using the same are provided to take a prompt action for abnormality of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A system (100) for preventing taxi-fare manipulation includes a taxi meter (110) and a global positioning system (GPS) module (120). The taxi meter is comprised in a taxi vehicle, and receives driving distance data of the vehicle measured and transmitted from a rotation sensing sensor installed in a wheel driving part of the vehicle, and calculates service fare for the driving distance data of the vehicle. The taxi meter provides the calculated service fare through a display. The GPS module is linked with the taxi meter, and grasps the driving distance data according to taxi driving by sensing location data change of the vehicle through satellite communication.
