ACTIVE POWER LIMITATION METHOD

PURPOSE: An active power limitation method of a power conversion device for photovoltaic power generation limits active power by using the characteristics of a photovoltaic module without conflicting with a maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithm and prevents damage due to overload of the power conversion device for photovoltaic power generation by not exceeding the rated output of the power conversion device for photovoltaic power generation. CONSTITUTION: An active power limitation method of a power conversion device for photovoltaic power generation includes a step of comparing an active power limit inputted from the outside such as an electric power company and an instantaneous output of the power conversion device for photovoltaic power generation in an MPPT control state; a step of not increasing or decreasing the maximum output point of a photovoltaic module according to the characteristics of the photovoltaic module without tracking the maximum output point when the output of the power conversion device is greater than the active power limit; a step of determining the execution of tracking the maximum power point by comparing the output of the power conversion device and the active power limit when the output of the power conversion device reaches the reset maximum output point; and a step of converting into a state for tracking the maximum output point when the output of the power conversion device is less than the active power limit.
