PURPOSE: A system for measuring the center of the gravity of a vehicle and a method for measuring the same are provided to simply measure the center of the gravity of the vehicle by utilizing cranes and load cells without separate test equipment. CONSTITUTION: A system for measuring the center of the gravity of a vehicle includes a plurality of cranes (110), towing members (120), load cells (130), a sensing member, a calculation module, and a correction module. The cranes lift a vehicle (10). The towing members are connected to four edge portions of the uppermost portion of the vehicle and the cranes respectively and support the vehicle when the vehicle is lifted by the cranes. The load cells are mounted on the towing member and measure a load applied to each towing member when the vehicle is lifted by the cranes. The sensing members are installed on the top surfaces of the towing members and measure angles which are formed by the top surfaces of the towing members and virtual planes on which the cranes are installed. The calculation module computes the center of the gravity on an X-axis parallel to the longitudinal direction of the vehicle and the center of the gravity on a Y-axis parallel to the width direction of the vehicle by using the load applied to the load cells. The correction module computes a mounting position value and the weight of a correction object to be additionally mounted on the vehicle so that the center of the gravity of the vehicle is matched up with the geometric center of the gravity of the vehicle. |
